Book Review- Under Rose-Tainted Skies: Norah’s voice, and the actions of the people who love & support her are so unique & precious that I didn’t want this story to come to an end.

I LOVE! I ADORE! I STAN!

Under Rose-Tainted Skies is an #OwnVoices mental health novel that was brilliantly written by Louise Gornall. I listened to the audiobook, and I was surprised with how perfect the narration was. The way Norah talked and thought was incredibly, well voiced. The rushed thoughts running through her mind, and the unfiltered words coming out of her mouth were so vividly & accurately embodied in the narrator’s reading tone.

I loved how this wasn’t a “love can cure everything” story. Instead of that, love was just a catalyst.

A lot of people compare this to Everything,Everything; it isn’t like Everything,Everything. Do they share a couple of plot elements? Yeah. Do they convey the same message? NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! NOPE!

There is a part at the end of story that I thought it lacked some explanation, and I wish that I could know what actually happened during that specific period of a specific character. . I am not going to say why or where because that would be a major spoiler.

I absolutely loved this. I would read this story and never get bored of it even if it had 2K pages. Norah’s voice, and the actions of the people who love and support her are so unique and precious that I didn’t want this story to come to an end.
